Karen Baverstock is a proficient Tonkin + Taylor Principal Planner with over 17 years’ planning experience across a broad spectrum of planning matters from master-planning, the development and review of statutory planning documents, submission preparation, and consenting processes.
She has also presented expert planning evidence at Council hearings and the Environment Court, appeared before the Auckland Unitary Plan Independent Hearings Panel on a regular basis, and been involved in Court directed mediations for a broad client base.
Karen specialises in delivering successful multi-disciplinary consenting projects and regularly works with district and regional councils in the consent acquisition process. She is well regarded for her contributions to large, complex projects with high public profiles and significant stakeholder and community involvement. Equipped a good understanding of a broad range of technical issues, Karen offers particular expertise ensuring a focused and ‘fit for purpose’ approach.
