Marje is a Director of Tonkin + Taylor Ltd and a Senior Resource Management specialist who has worked in the field of environmental, resource and sustainability management since the early 1980s. 

She is highly regarded for her vast knowledge and experience in developing resource management plans, statutory planning, preparing applications for resource consents and associated AEEs, as well as preparing and presenting expert evidence. 

A qualified Environmental Planner and senior environmental auditor, Marje has managed large interdisciplinary teams on consenting projects and undertaken regulatory, certification and consulting roles in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. She has worked in regional and state government water resource management, as well as environmental management certification in New Zealand and Australia.

Marje is an experienced project manager for resource consent and Assessment of Effects on the Environment projects for major infrastructure projects. She also provides a wide range of technical, management and assessment advice and services to New Zealand's official environmental labelling programme, Environmental Choice New Zealand.
