Alex is an Environmental Scientist and Project Manager with a degree in Earth Science. He has more than 10 years’ experience working in Tonkin + Taylor's environmental group, both in New Zealand and Australia, specialising in the management of contaminated land and closed landfill sites. Alex has experience in the investigation, remediation, monitoring, and reporting of a variety of contaminated, and potentially contaminated land. As such, Alex has a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of potential contaminants. He has experience working on various project types ranging from small residential jobs to large, multi-discipline construction and development projects for various clients including public and private sector companies, district and regional councils, and other regulatory authorities. Much of Alex’s work is based around the resource consenting process, either to support consent applications, or to satisfy conditions of consent. Alex has a particular interest in contamination related risk assessments with regard to the protection of human and environmental health.
