Tony is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer and Project Manager based in our Christchurch office.
He is a Chartered Professional Engineer with more than 25 years' experience in Civil and Geotechnical engineering. Tony worked extensively in collaborative design and design-build teams on large projects as well as many private developments and large public infrastructure projects in New Zealand and Asia-Pacific, including Australia, Malaysia (where he lived for more than four years), Vietnam, Hong Kong (where he lived for one-and-a-half years), Fiji, The Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, the United Arab Emirates, and, Missouri and Illinois..
Tony is a chartered professional engineer and has recently completed a Diploma of Managerial Excellence in Engineering and Construction with the New Zealand Institute of Management. Modules which are taught as part of this diploma course include lean construction, high-performance collaborative construction teams, collaborative and continuous improvement, team building, leadership, supply chain management, customer relationship and performance measurement for construction projects.
Tony is currently an elected management committee member, treasurer and vice chair of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society (NZGS). He was also the Convenor of the 19th NZGS symposium that was held in Queenstown during November 2013.
