David has a genuine passion for helping both local Government and private sector clients to build upon and use their existing asset data to turn it into easy to interpret, actionable insights.
David started his career as a Civil Engineer in the UK over 30 years ago, quickly moving into the digital space working with all aspects of asset performance data. Demand for his expertise has seen him work in India, the UK, the USA, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
Involved in some of the first major hydraulic models for Thames Water, he went on to develop the processes that transformed the way modelling was completed in the UK. His work in these areas had a profound impact on the UK water industry which still resonates today.
Since joining Tonkin + Taylor, David has led the development of Plexus 5.0, a cloud-based suite of tools that offers a data-driven approach to resolving complex water engineering issues, while also allowing clients to accurately prioritise emergency works and capital spending.
