Hamish, located in Tonkin and Taylor’s Wellington Office, has over 10 years work experience in the field of water resources engineering. He has broad experience in River and Coastal Engineering, Flood Risk, Stormwater, Project Management and Asset Management. He has worked both within consultancy and for a major infrastructure provider.

Hamish has undertaken training in web development programming, and has a keen interest in improving workflow using automation and presenting data using online tools.

He is an experienced hydraulic modeller specialising in TUFLOW. He has also had the benefit of practical experience, and applying models as a tool to provide real world solutions. 

Experience as a Consultant and as an In-House Engineer at KiwiRail has taught him the value of practical outcome focused design, and risk management. He has managed and carried out investigation, design and construction of river and coastal management works around the country.
