James is a specialist civil engineer specialising in the design of water supply, wastewater and stormwater projects. He has expert knowledge of local and regional design standards and has a strong background in integrated, low-impact design approaches. James has worked with Watercare Services Ltd on numerous strategic projects including the 2014 Water Management Plan (as part of the consenting of the new water take from the Waikato River), as well as demand management and demand forecasting studies. He has also significant experience in stormwater management and water reticulation analysis and design in the Auckland region. James is also a lead sustainability and climate change practitioner and is currently involved in MfE’s Climate Change Technical Advisory Group. Much of his recent work has focused on resilience to hazards, climate change impact assessments and greenhouse gas abatement studies. He is certified practitioner of the ISCA (Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australasia) Rating tool.
