Tony Kortegast has more than 40 years' experience in geotechnical, solid waste and heavy civil engineering. Tony’s work has covered a range of project inputs - from concept development, to consent processes, detailed design and construction management. Tony has worked in more than a dozen countries and provided specialist services to many public and private sector clients. He has also directed many high profile infrastructure and solid waste projects throughout New Zealand and provided strategic advice to projects in Australia and Asia-Pacific.
Tony works on waste and environmental projects throughout Australia, and in Victoria he is an EPA Accredited Environmental Auditor (Industrial Facilities), under the Environment Protection Act, 1970. Tony’s extensive international project experience, together with his engineering design management and reporting skills, supports our operations throughout the Pacific, Australia and Asia via our network of regional offices and associate businesses. Tony actively works in the Australian market as an Environmental Auditor, expert witness and solid waste specialist.
Tony holds a BSc (Geology), BE (Hons) and a Master of Environmental Engineering Science (UNSW). He is a Fellow of both Engineers Australia and Engineering New Zealand, a Chartered Professional Engineer, and is on the International Professional Engineer’s Register. He is also a sworn Justice of the Peace in New Zealand.
