Waikato Regional Council identified their western coastal region as an area where there is little knowledge of coastal processes and associated hazards.
We compiled a team of experts to assess available knowledge and information. By liaising with local district councils, we identified priority areas in need of further investigation.
This project forms a basis for future coastal hazard assessments along the open coast and within estuaries.
