Project overview
In order for the Church Agency Network to more effectively manage their disaster response, Australia’s CAN DO (Church Agency Network) commissioned Tonkin + Taylor (T+T) to create a fully functioning, specialist web portal where various church organisations could manage and share information about their evacuation centres and natural hazards risks to their communities. National Disaster Management Officers, first responders and church humanitarian agencies are able to access online evacuation centre maps to ensure people have safe and appropriate shelter during specific types of natural hazards events - including cyclones, tsunami and earthquakes – and deliver a prompt and efficient humanitarian aid response.
