Ben is a project manager, analyst, and researcher with a focus on sustainability and climate change. Ben has experience working on climate change, resilience, and sustainable development in New Zealand and over ten countries throughout Asia and the Pacific.
At T+T, Ben has been involved in climate change risk screenings and assessments for local and central government in New Zealand. He was a part of the teams that delivered the first National Climate Change Risk Assessment for NZ, and the first climate change risk assessments for the Canterbury and Otago regions.
Prior to joining T+T, he worked internationally for intergovernmental organisations and think tanks on climate change and sustainability planning, policy and institutional design, and stakeholder engagement. He is an advisor to governments on climate finance, and notable work has included leading the development of the Green Climate Fund Country Programme for Papua New Guinea and no-objection procedure for the Marshall Islands.
Ben has published widely on addressing climate change and sustainable development in the Pacific. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from the University of Auckland, and a Master of Environmental Management and Development and a Master of Diplomacy from ANU.
