Grant is a Principal Planner for Tonkin and Taylor, based in the Hamilton office. He has 24 years’ experience in resource management and has been a consultant planner based in Hamilton for the past 22 years. Grant has a wide range of experience in all facets of planning and resource management and has significant experience in presenting expert evidence at Council hearings, the Environment Court and at Board of Inquiry hearings. He has well-developed expertise in consultation for and consenting infrastructure developments, and has a highly credible reputation in this field. He has had leadership roles on several large consenting and designation projects including the Hamilton Southern Links designation project and the Additional Waitemata Crossing project in Auckland. Grant has also recently appeared as a planning witness in pivotal water quality plan changes including Plan Change 10 at Rotorua and Plan Change 1 (Healthy Rivers) in the Waikato. His professional experience means he is able to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and other team members, including tangata whenua.
