Jon is a flood risk and catchment planning expert who works with public and private sector clients to help create thriving and resilient communities.
Jon is passionate about developing integrated approaches to managing flood risk and water resources through multi-disciplinary expertise and stakeholder engagement.
Jon’s most rewarding experiences have come through assisting clients develop and implement long term, strategic programmes of flood risk work that communicate and manage ratepayer expectations, are affordable and align with He Ara Waiora (a framework for wellbeing). Major projects and programmes of note cover the Nelson, Auckland and Wellington regions where Jon has been privileged enough to work alongside some visionary clients, working in both the built and natural environment. Jon enjoys sharing insights and experiences from different organisations (with permission!) who are all striving for similar outcomes.
