Josh is a sought-after ecologist who works across Aotearoa New Zealand’s public and private sectors to preserve and enhance our freshwater and terrestrial environments and all that lives within them. He collaborates with resource consent applicants, planners, specialists, regional councils and other key agencies, helping them to resolve complex freshwater and terrestrial issues.
The lead ecologist for Te Ahu A Turanga – Manawatu Tararua Highway, Josh also undertook stakeholder engagement and negotiation with key project partners and developed an ecological strategy in preparation for resource consents. On other large infrastructure projects he is vital in relaying complex ecological information to management teams and iwi representatives in an easy to understand way, smoothing the path for executive decisions to be made.
Josh believes it is critical that this generation builds a legacy of sustainability for those to come, and specialises in freshwater and terrestrial ecological monitoring, impact assessments and restoration.
