Mark Thomas, CMEngNZ, is a Geotechnical Engineer and Project Director based in our Auckland office.
Mark has 20 years’ industry experience in New Zealand, Australia, the South Pacific, Asia and the United Kingdom. His previous experience includes work on residential, commercial, rail, roading, civil, landfill, hydroelectric and geotechnical projects.
Mark has recently held the geotechnical lead roles in several prominent Auckland projects including remediation of the Rawene Road Birkenhead landslip, Commercial Bay and the CRL interface in the Auckland CBD, and geotechnical surface works for the Waterview Connection motorway project. Mark is currently Geotechnical lead for several ongoing commercial and residential projects in the Auckland region, including the Auckland Civils Alliance Programme for HLC.
Mark has a BE (1stClass Hons) in Civil Engineering, and is a Member of Engineering New Zealand and the New Zealand Geotechnical Society (ISSMGE). Mark is a currently Chartered Professional Engineer and is registered as an International Professional Engineer.
