Tonkin + Taylor’s award winning noses are ready for the RMLA!

T+T’s air quality team has won industry accolades for its work, with air quality consultant Robyn Butler last week winning the 2019 Clean Air Society of Australia & New Zealand (CASANZ) Emerging Air Quality Professional Award. Meanwhile, our Technical Director - Environmental Engineering, Jenny Simpson was made a Life Member of CASANZ for her outstanding achievements.

You can catch up with T+T’s air quality, contaminated land and planning experts, as well as our environmental scientists, at the Resource Management Law Association of New Zealand (RMLA) Conference as they look towards a visionary future for Aotearoa New Zealand.

Few things get people quite as het up as offensive odours – it’s an emotive issue.

Odour can be a concern for many industrial and agricultural facilities, including landfills, waste processing, industrial facilities, poultry farms and abattoirs. Increasing community expectations and encroaching residential development within, and adjacent to, industrial areas mean that better control of odour is required to meet air quality targets and manage community perceptions.

T+T’s experienced odour scouts have had their noses calibrated to meet Australian and New Zealand Standards. They have been deployed for field odour monitoring for landfills, wastewater treatment facilities and industrial sites. Field odour monitoring can be tailored to your needs from providing “before and after” comparisons of odour controls, through to rigorous programmes following current European Standards, to provide an objective assessment of odour impacts. It also provides a form of verification of predicted theoretical odour impacts using dispersion modelling.

T+T’s discreet, effective monitoring of your facility will ensure that your reputational and regulatory risk is kept in check, and nearby householders and business owners are kept happy.

Along with offering a premier team of specialist odour air quality consultants, T+T is able to design pragmatic odour management strategies for a range of operations such as landfills, poultry facilities, abattoirs, waste water treatment plants and other potentially odorous facilities.
