T+T takes 2020 HFG Wellbeing Award!

At Tonkin + Taylor, we genuinely care for our people and place a tremendous amount of emphasis on work-life balance.

We are really proud to announce that it’s not just us that thinks we’re doing a good job of that, we have just been named the 2020 Healthy Food Guide’s Large Company Workplace Wellbeing Award winner!

”It’s fantastic recognition” says Anni von Koelln, T+T’s Marketing and Wellbeing Coordinator, “And it’s also further motivation to keep doing our best for our people”.

Led by Anni von Koelln and Dianne Campton, T+T’s 2019 Wellbeing Programme covered physical and mental health, nutrition, summer safety and cancer awareness.

Anni and Dianne developed innovative and engaging resources to raise awareness and drive understanding of these complex and sensitive health initiatives and put learning and inclusion at the core of the Wellbeing Programme.

“It’s really easy to get consumed in the work itself. So it’s key to remind people to look after themselves and practice self-care. The content we developed and sourced from the Healthy Food Guide helped with this tremendously”.

Wellbeing “Lunch and Learn” sessions and workshops became a calendar staple. Access to fitness resources, healthy recipes and wellbeing challenges became mainstays on the company intranet and weekly newsletter. Video campaigns became a key component, with staff wellness stories helping further foster a culture of vulnerability, openness and inclusivity in the business.

“Our staff were really engaged and we get high participation rates with all our events and initiatives. We have a strong culture around health and wellbeing and people really do care for each other here”, says Anni.

So what lies in store for the wellbeing programme in 2020?

“We’re going to keep building on the success of 2019 with an even stronger focus on mental health. I’m really proud of the strong wellbeing culture we have at T+T.
