What is Tactical Urbanism and why should we adopt it?

Tactical Urbanism is literally about go-forward.

Here is a definition of Tactical Urbanism that we really like - “Tactical Urbanism is all about action. Also known as DIY Urbanism or Planning-by-Doing”.  It’s an approach to planning and design that is immediate, affordable and scalable that enables long term change.

Tactical Urbanism isn't just fashionable jargon, it's become a thing – an inclusive and collaborative way to involve affected communities and bring them into the project team.

Senior Transport Planner, Alan Gregory explains why we should get on the Tactical Urbanism bandwagon.
